Doha Metro works started at full speed. Sheeting works at all stations (diaphragm wall, dam wall, piling and grouting works) as well as network deviations and piling works at some stations are in progress.
Regarding the project, YM Construction Board Member Başar Arıoğlu told:
“We viewed the diaphragm wall works in Al Sadd C-Ring Station during our site visit with Aybek Otçeken who is the Section Chief in charge of 3 stations.
A very special station among the others, Al Sadd C-Ring is the most difficult one in the project with an approximative depth of excavation of 50 meters in a tight area in a highly populated part of the city.
A second station is being constructed under the Gold Line Station for the future Blue Line. For this reason the depth of excavation is so high.”
